Industrial designer Andrew Kim has created a new Coke bottle concept that could significantly change the sodamaker’s footprint. For every 4 bottles currently shipped, the square bottle design could ship 6. This means every shipping container could hold 4,000 more bottles of Coke. Kim also considered that Americans use 2 million plastic bottles every 5 minutes, so he made the bottle itself green. It is 100% plant based, made entirely from sugar cane byproducts. Which is amusing since Coke hasn’t been made from sugar since 1985 (via Jerry James Stone)

Help wanted
Dear reader,
Firstly, a big thank you! You are one of the few people who actually looked at my website and my blog.
Secondly, I have a small favour to ask: if either of the following apply to you then please contact me - I will be very, very grateful to hear from you!
1) You work in radio or for a radio station/group
To be honest, I’m desperate to get back into working in radio. I can present, produce, do voice-overs, sell advertising and sponsorship, make coffee, or even do boring stuff. Basically, I will do whatever it takes to stop my talent being wasted!
If you can’t help directly, maybe you know someone who can? Even telling me who to email would be a HUGE help.
2) You know something about web development
I’m looking to get my blog off Tumblr because I’m not nearly, er, cool enough to use it like everyone else and I failed miserably at getting Wordpress to do what I want.
If you can help with customising a Wordpress (or similar) installation & template to fit in with the rest of my website’s design that would be amazing! Help, advice and words of encouragement will be gratefully received.

Letter Of Note of the Day: On February 13, 1986, an inter-office memo was sent out to Disney employees announcing the retroactive renaming of many studio classics.
The notice, attributed to then-Walt Disney Feature Animation president Peter Schneider, was actually the handy work of Ed Gombert, an animator who, along with many of his colleagues, was upset over the decision to rename Disney’s Basil of Baker Street adaptation “The Great Mouse Detective.”
Then-Disney CEO Jeff Katzenberg, who reportedly called Schneider into his office to do some explaining, was unable to determine the fake memo’s true origin. Nor was he successful in stopping itself spread beyond the walls of Disney HQ: A copy of the memo eventually landed in the pages of the LA Times.
